MaryGrace Lauver, LMSW
Life can feel heavy when you’re the one people rely on most — whether at work, at home, or in your community. High-performing professionals, parents, caregivers, and anyone who constantly shows up for others often forget that they too deserve support, space, and care.
I’m MaryGrace Lauver, and I’ve spent nearly 20 years in healthcare, with almost 20 years providing mental health therapy. I hold a Master of Social Work and have had the privilege of working with physicians, therapists, educators, executives, parents, and other mission-driven individuals who want to thrive without losing themselves in the process.
My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Therapy but it’s also guided by compassion, curiosity, and a deep respect for the unique story each person brings. I aim to create a space where you can step out of performance mode, breathe, and reconnect with yourself.
Beyond clinical work, I’ve published nearly a dozen peer-reviewed articles on mental health and suicide prevention and presented at national conferences. These experiences have given me insight into the pressures and challenges people face and the resilience they can cultivate with the right support.
At Serene Roots Therapy, this is your space to pause, reflect, and restore. You don’t have to be the expert, the caregiver, or the one holding it all together. You just have to be you.
